Summer Staycation Ideas

Staycation is very much like having a vacation but this time you are not going anywhere far from your home. There is no need to spend money for your airfare and accommodations because you are going to take advantage on what is being offered in your area. Here are some staycation ideas that you can do with your family:

  • Go outside your home and visit some of the national parks in your area. This is a great time to run around and enjoy the beauty of nature.
  • If by chance it rains during summer, this is great opportunity for you to watch those discount dvd movies that you have bought or play your favourite board games with your kids.
  • It is also time to get active, why not take advantage of the local swimming pool or community basketball courts. You can also go for a bike ride, fly kite or try new sport.

Summer is the best time to unwind and spend time with loved ones. However, big vacations would require you to spend time in planning and preparation but aside from that you will also need some serious cash. If you do not have enough time to prepare or money to spend for a big vacation, then you may opt to have a summer staycation instead.

Tips on How to Choose the Right Home

Buying a house is not as easy as finding perfect emerald rings for your loved ones. Most people fail to consider their lifestyle when purchasing a property. They are often caught up with the aesthetic value of the house and tend to neglect other important factors. When you decide to purchase a property make sure that you look at least five years from now.

Once you purchase the wrong property and decide to resell it within as shorter time; definitely some of your money will go down the drain. Buying a house should be a long term decision, hence you should take some time to weigh your options before signing the dotted line. Among the important factors that you have to consider are the following:

  • Schools. If you have kids it is nice to buy a property which is close to schools. This is also a plus factor in case you will resell the property.
  • Work. Check how much it will cost you to travel from work to home and vice versa. If you hate traffic; then it is better to choose a house which is near your work area.
  • Medical services. Find out if the property has a hospital nearby; you would never know when you need to take a family member for medical attention.
  • Security. This is very true especially if you live by yourself. Your house should be a place where you feel much secured. Choose a house within a highly secured environment.
  • Relatives. It may seem unbelievable but there are benefits on having relatives living close by your home. You may need assistance from other family members too especially if you have young kids or when you get older.

Why Men Love Cars

Majority of men love their cars and there is no doubt about that. A guy does not mind spending his time pampering one of his most prized possessions. He actually spends time cleaning and polishing to make sure that it looks attractive. But why do men love cars?

As what most people say, it could be to satisfy the need for speed. Guys love to seek thrill and they get that satisfaction behind wheels. In fact when you put a guy behind the wheels he transform into a different person. A timid guy may suddenly become a tiger when he begins to drive his car. To the point when he does not even care if he gets killed. As long as they are satisfied with the performance of the car, then so be it. The car provides performance on demand without any objections and this provides a certain kind of power satisfaction for men.

Cars will always remain to be on top of the list of the toys for the big boys whether it is the real thing or just the plastic model kits.

Find the Right Pair of Sunglasses

Finding the perfect pair of sunglasses for you is quite a challenging task. Every details about the sunglasses actually matters. For instance, does the sunglasses lined up with your eyebrows or does the color match your skin tone. These are some of the questions that you need to answer when choosing the right pair of sunglasses.

You also need to consider your budget before purchasing sunglasses. Usually designer sunglasses like Persol would cost as low as $20 and even reach up to $200 depending on the style. Other people opt to purchase replica of the designer brands, but believe me, the price has really got something to do with the quality of its lens. There is a remarkable difference in the quality of vision.

Aside from the price, you also need to consider the fit. The general rule is the top of the rim should be up to your brow line only. Make sure that there are no spaces in between or it is not too tight against your skin too. You also have to consider on how the sunglasses sit on your nose. If you do not have much nose bridge, go for the ones with adjustable bridge to make sure that it fits well.

Are Men Afraid of Marriage?

It is still February, and as most people say it is the month of love. It is a common practice that a lot of couples decide to exchange “I dos” during Valentine’s Day. Lucky are these guys who finally decided to tie the knot because they have found the women whom they want to spend the rest of their lives with.

Then again, it is still difficult to find a man who wants to get married and start a family. Are men really afraid of marriage? The answer is NO. Guys are not afraid of the concept of marriage per se. What usually scare them is marrying the wrong person.

Some girls may even give a hint that they want to get married like checking out wedding bands or looking at a bridal gown. But despite these hints, no marriage proposal was made. This simply means that the guy may have seen something about his girlfriend that is making him hesitant. Normally, a guy would just wan tto make sure that he has seen the best and the worst of his girlfriend. In this manner, a guy can easily decide whether or not he wants to live a life with you in it.

TNF 100 2012

As always, a lot of running enthusiasts look forward to the TNF 100 trail run. It is one of the events that runners are very much excited about. Aside from that, the North Face 100 is probably the most welcome running series in Asia Pacific countries. There will be distance and trail run events to be held in countries like China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Japan and of course the Philippines.

For TNF 100 Thailand, it will be held in Amphawa, Samut Songkram on Feb 3-5. In Taiwan, it will be on 21st until the 22nd of April in Soochow University; while the TNF 100 in Beijing China will be on May 12, 2012. On the other hand, in Australia it will be held in The Blue Mountains on the 19th up to the 20th of May. There will also be TNF 100 in Singapore on October 2012 and Japan this coming November 2012 too.

Here in the Philippines, it will be this coming April 20-21, and it will be held in Benguet, Baguio. As early as now, runners have made some preparations for the event. Training on a regularly basis is a must in order to improve my record in this popular distance and trail running series. Preparations include having the right running gear, thus the running shoes should be carefully chosen before it runs under the barcode scanner and ring the cash register.
