I like my things to be well kept and taken care off, that is why when my girlfriend and I went shopping for bathroom vanities and fixtures, we ended up canvasing over our budget. She wanted to get the cheap sets while I was on the other end looking at the more expensive ones. I tend to lean more towards quality over the price tag when it comes to things I use often. May it be kitchenware, pillows or whatever… the same applies to my bathroom fixtures. In the end we weren’t able to buy the fixtures I wanted because it wasn’t in my budget, so I’ll be saving a bit more in order to purchase them in the near future.
Used cars are more practical now a days; you can get a decent car for daily use at a third the price of brand new cars. All you need is a mechanic you can trust to help you checkout cars you like then you’re ready to hit the classifieds. You can find a plethora of brands everything from used ford cars all the way to used volkswagen cars.
espiritu santi exhibit
Went to the opening of the Espiritu Santi Exhibit in the Yuchengco museum earlier as Perry’s proxy. I saw a lot of familiar faces but I couldn’t remember most of their names… I did recognize (Lia, John Frank, Jordan,Leonard, Kawayan). I really haven’t been in touch with most of my acquaintances from the Baguio Arts Guild since Perry went state-side. I do know Santi Bose personally; I used to sleep over at his place when I was younger, so I thought it would be a good idea to pay my respects to him as well.
Thin Blue Line by Perry Mamaril
Seeing Perry’s and other artists works brought back some fond memories I had growing up with the Baguio Arts Guild. Their styles didn’t change much. I was able to recognize each contributing artist’s works without looking at who made them… well for those who I knew at least. I can still remember Perry harping about how I should get into the art scene way back… I did try, but it wasn’t a feasible way to earn money and pay the bills, so I drifted away. I would like to think that I am still in the art scene with the work I am doing now, just in a different more modern medium.
I wasn’t able to stay for long, since i have a lot of work to finish and I left my daughter behind. Though it was a pleasant experience… like a reprieve form my daily grind. Fedhz wanted to stay longer, but I insisted to go I didn’t want to ruin the nostalgic feeling by worrying about my work while I was at the exhibit.
With the new Windows 7 operating system coming into the mainstream, Windows drivers are starting to be an issue with older hardware. Machines who have support for the previous Windows Vista operating system will have no problems with drivers since Windows 7 can run on Windows Vista drivers. For those machines who only have support up to Windows XP they’ll have to try their luck with driver updates from Microsoft, their hardware manufacturer, or 3rd party sites/applications that offer hardware driver search and download services.
These 3rd party sites have a collection of various computer drivers to choose from, everything from legacy hardware to newer models. They also offer modified drivers for certain hardware without official support from their manufacturers. These types of drivers can only be found on these kinds of sites which are very useful to people (like me) who still use older computers with newer operating systems.
For novice users, there are also 3rd party applications you can install which can automatically scan and update your system with the appropriate. I often suggest using these types of applications first when trying to find the right drivers before searching the web. In most cases they find the right drivers for you, which in turn saves you time… If they don’t then there are always those 3rd party driver sites.
These are my entries to Yugatech’s Gimme your best shot contest. It was taken on the north bound MRT train during rush hour:
yugatech contest
My original plan was to prop up my 33 month old daughter holding the sign inside the train. Getting her to come along with me during her afternoon shows was hard enough, I had to bribe her with ice cream so that’ she’d tag along… But getting on the train was entirely a different story. Unfortunately the hoards of people riding the train during rush hour was simply overwhelming, and I wasn’t able to execute my plan.

I didn’t get the shot I wanted but it was a good effort! I hope we win^^
Like everything else you computer needs routine maintenance, for both its hardware and software components. This is especially true with the software side of your computer. We unconsciously add a lot of things to it that are not necessarily good for your system (e.g. cookies, ActiveX objects), which may cause slower performance or even system failure. We do this by just surfing the web, installing and uninstalling application or by malicious software that gets into the computer.
Maintaining a clean registry is one of the most important things you should do if you own a Windows based computer. It ensures that all the sensitive information your computer needs is intact and safe from malicious tampering. You can achieve this by using a registry cleaner to automatically scan and clean your registry. In most cases it can also be used as a registry editor to modify or recover broken or corrupted registry information.
By cleaning your registry, along with doing other routine maintenance tasks such as de-fragmenting you hard drive, updating your operating system and doing an occasional mal-ware scan can do wonders for your computer. It will maintain the performance of your system and may extend the lifespan of your computers hardware as well.
