Mounting a Ceiling Fan

Ceiling fans are excellent substitute to air conditioning. Choosing the right ceiling fan for your home depends on some factors and it is not just about style and function. To be more energy efficient, the size and the height of the room must be considered and is indeed very important so the movement of air is properly circulated.

And for safety reasons, the ceiling fan should be mounted at least 7 feet above the floor to prevent injury. Although price does matter, it also should be of quality. It should be durable since it is suspended from the ceiling. To maximize its use, select a fan wherein the rotation can be reversed so it can provide you the necessary needs during the hot summer and cold winter months.

With modern technology, ceiling fans are now very easy to assemble and mount on the ceiling and when wiring a ceiling fan make sure that no wires are exposed except for the ground wire so it wont get entangled when it is operational or when being used. If you are unsure of the wiring system, it would be appropriate to have it looked by an electrician for safety purposes.
