I’ve been focusing on working out my back muscles more these past few weeks, in hopes of gaining a few pounds of muscle on there to strengthen my core and prevent injury. Though hardly noticeable, I managed to bulk up a bit especially my lats, but I lost the definition I had (if there was any).
It’s been a year since I changed my workout routine and I did manage to gain about 2-4lbs of muscle and drastically improve my cardio. Unfortunately I still fall short of getting ripped. By ripped I mean those cuts/definition of muscles you see on magazines and on TV. I want to have that kind of body or as close to it as I can without sacrificing my health or changing my diet too much. I’ve been working out for 6 years now and I’m proud to say that I only used whey protein and a bit of creatine (when I want to break my plateau) supplements to help me a long the way. I’ve had success with bulky up but not so much with getting definition.
If you have any ideas on how to get more definition without using any other supplements or some sort of “scheme” do let me know. My goal is to have a reasonably maintainable physique with as much definition as possible. I know I’m already “ripped” by most people’s standards but I don’t want to rest on my laurels… there’s always room for improvement.
