ePassporte alternative : OKPay

On a personal note: I am not optimistic that ePassporte will get back on track, nor do I think I’ll be able to get back the funds I have in my Visa Virtual account. So I’ll just charge it to experience and move on.

I’ve just signed up with OKPay. Unlike ePassporte which is tied up with Visa, OKPay is tied up with Mastercard. They are pretty similar but with some subtle and welcomed differences. Some of the differences I personally like are:

  • The ATM/Debit card only costs 20USD which is valid for 24 months (ePassporte charges 35USD)
  • 2,000USD maximum ATM withdrawal per day (3 transactions per day)
  • Balance Inquiry transactions are FREE
  • easier to verify your account.
  • supports “Pay buttons” and request money features.

The transactions tariffs are similar to ePassporte which isn’t a plus. But the bottom-line is to get back on track and resume the cash flow.  I’m not sure if OKPay will be reliable or not but it is an alternative; and it is certainly better than nothing. I guess the lesson learned is not to leave any unneeded money in these kinds of services.

I’m having an extremly bad experience with OKPay the had my money for over a month and they cant complete a wire transfer and if I call to find out what is happening they offer to charge extra $30.00 to supporting results. Until it comes to the point when they will just simply ignore you and keep your money anyways. Their online site seems very promising and what they say they will do it all sounds great but far from the truth. ” be very ware “

Yeah I figured they were shady. I didn’t really use their services, just signed up just in case. Thankfully I found other solutions. I;m using entropay now.
