I just logged into my ePassporte account to find a notice from ePassporte saying their Visa account has been suspended. Which basically means they won’t be issuing any Visa cards anymore. More importantly current Visa card holders won’t be able to make Point Of Sales (POS) Transactions and ATM withdrawals using their ATM cards.
I just tried withdrawing my money using my ePassporte Visa ATM and it was denied access… (Sorry your transaction is not allowed)
From: Christopher Mallick, Owner, ePassporte.com
Dear ePassporte Account Holders,
Please be advised that, at 12:00 PM PDT today, September 2, 2010, we were notified that effective immediately, Visa International has suspended our banking partner’s (St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank) ePassporte Visa program. The ePassporte e-Wallet program continues to be up and running, except funds cannot be transferred between your Visa Account and your e-Wallet. At this time ePassporte can no longer issue Visa Cards, and the ability for our Account Holders to make point of sale purchases and withdraw funds from ATMs has also been suspended.
At this time we do not know why this drastic action was taken by Visa. To us, it is unconscionable that such action would be taken without the opportunity for ePassporte to fully understand Visa’s reasons and to be able to take all steps necessary to keep our program running the way it has so successfully done for over 7 years. But that is what Visa has done.
As soon as we have more information we will be in contact with you.
In the meantime please be assured that your funds are safe.
We are very sorry for the short notice and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The ePassporte team is working diligently to rectify this situation.
We kindly ask you to bear with us while we work through this issue.
Please feel free to contact us via the message center or at our call center, should you have any questions, comments or concerns.
Thank You,
Christopher Mallick

what happend now … im from EU. (Europe) i use a Visa E. card …and i can’t use money from ePassporte card … this is a real problem … what you know about this situation …????
Well it was effective Sept 2. I just tried out my ATM on several different banks and I get a “transaction is not allowed“. So it seems that our funds in the Visa Virtual account are frozen.
Yep, received ko rin msg. just now.
jay pwde for purchase, ntry u n?

I’m form the Philippines so calling them isn’t an option. But I tried emailing support. I’ll updated this post, if or when I get a reply.
Philippines….. aaaaaaa…!!! that the reason why i dont understand everthing here …. why dont use only eng … !!!???? It something like this …. daca as scrie in limba mea , cum ar fi??? that is in romanian …. LOL !!!
yeah right… whats the reason behind this? can VISA atleast state their reason? pano na tayong mga model nito haisttttt
Epassporte is currently fucked up. Visa kicked them out, di na ma withdraw mga funds, we have about $8,000 collectively sa epass ngayon problema pano ilalabas mga pera na to, holy shit owned!!!!
I’ve been using Epassporte for 4 years now, may mga konting issues in the past pero na reresolve naman, but this time around grabe to kasi Visa mismo kalaban nila OMG business will suck!
Actually there are updates already, and a better story that you might be able to find out is the news and story by the AVN news about epassporte and visa international.
The more clearer update about this issue can also be found on this link I found above.
To make the long story short there is a brighter explanation and than there certainly is a positive and good outcome that’s gonna happen this week.
Let’s just hope things will go back to normal state sooner.
I strongly believe there wont be any good outcome for the customers in this story. How can one be such a complete idiot to produce a movie about himself posing as a mobster that makes millions and expect visa not to do anything about it? I bet it’s all cause of that stupid ass movie Mallick produced, trying to be Hollywood cool. And the other bad aspect about this, is that people are panicking. And if they’ll mass wire their funds out, epassporte will go down like any other financial business.
Well I think it’s just a matter of time until the shit hits the fan. As for me I have cut my losses and is moving on.
I’m sure other companies will take ePassporte’s place, and they’ll most probably go down in a couple of years too… then the cycle continues. The moral of the story is not to leave money in these types of services unless you need it, and always have a backup plan.
i owned a call center here in the phils and we used epassporte to get our salary from the US. i try to call the cs of epassporte, they cant give any date for the resolution. i need the money badly. omg!
As someone said, at first that mail worked, but know i’m desperate … Already 15sept and I got 3k frozen that i really need to live.
Honestly, i’m praying to get my money back.
I doubt the money in the VISA Virtual accounts will be liquidated in the near future or at all for that matter. I personally and a lot of businesses and workers have already jumped ship and moved on.
If I were you I’d consider that money gone and move on.
Dont you think this is what they at Epass want’s? For us to give up on trying to get our funds from them. This may be easy for those who only have a few dollars in their accounts, but there are a lot of people who have 5 digits or more in their accounts(there’s this 1 account where he has $246,000 USD stuck in Epass) , it would be a little difficult to just consider those funds for naught.

ePassporte N.V. has had several extensive meetings with St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank (the “Bank”) in an effort to resume operations and card functionality.
We are encouraged and believe these meetings and ongoing discussions with the Bank will result in all card functions becoming operational shortly, although a date has not yet been determined.
ePassporte and St Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank want to assure cardholders that their funds are safe and that resuming operations is a key and attainable goal.
A few very import points:
