I just finished my run on the treadmill. 52 minutes flat. According to the treadmill I ran 11.x km in but according to my Forerunner50 I ran 13km. I know my foot pod has a discrepancy of 100m-500m on my usual 10km. I compared it with with previous races and on google maps. I’m not sure what to believe but I’m liking the results.
My short term goals are to run the 10km fun run events in under 40 minutes and eventually run a 21km race under 2 hours within the year. I’m not sure if I can pull it off but I know I am inching my way closer; 1 second and meter at a time.
My tempo pace, breathing and heart rate are stabilizing as well which is a good sign. At 15km/h I clock in at a stable 185BPM which is a step up from last year where I would red line at that pace for a prolonged period of time. My red zone is about 192BPM, so I guess I still have a lot of work cut out for me if I want to achieve my goals… safely.
