I’ve noticed a trend lately, which may have been a trend long before I noticed it. Advertisers always come up with new “it” terms for their products to essentially make their old products seem new. Which is especially prevalent in the medical products. They come up with some new jargon like L-Carnitine, irvingia gabonensis, Hoodia Gordonii, and the like. Despite this seemingly devious names, people still try them out. My conclusion is, at the end of the day people aren’t really concerned with the contents of the product, but rather how it is packaged and marketed.
