Been running on the treadmill for about 3 weeks now, and by the looks of it I am getting back into form. Running on a treadmill is convenient since I can run even at night. But I do miss running on the road; It’s just a different feel and a bit more challenging. Unfortunately I don’t have a choice, since I live right beside Edsa, and there are now accessible routes in the area.
Been running for only 30 minutes the past 3 weeks then do my weight training right after. At the moment I can do 5.5+km in 30 minutes, my goal is to to 6-7km in the same time before I join any major races. I know running on a treadmill is much easier than running on the road even with the incline settings on the treadmill. So I wanna push myself as hard as I can on the treadmill so I don’t get surprised when I finally run on the road again.
I’ll start gunning for the 10km distance come February and still mix them up with my 30 minute runs. I hope to maintain a comfortable 15km/h pace before my next race… kinda far fetch but hey who said there were limits to setting goals.
