I finally have my office setup, though I can’t say the same for the rest of my pad… It’s relaxing to live in you “own” place, it’s something I can’t describe.
Majority of reactions I got after acquiring my condo unit was “sosyal!”, “bigtime na!”, “nako magastos yan!”, “ang yaman mo naman!”, and so on. I used to have the same sentiments towards my peers who started to live on their own; but now that I’m on the other side of the fence I understand that it’s not about status or how much money you have or earn… if anything it is just the next step in life which society has predefined for adults. As for the financial aspect I really don’t think much of it. The first step is always the hardest, I’m sure I’ll get use to the additional expenses and learn how to compensate accordingly.
At 26, and being able to own/purchase my own small 2 bedroom nook in the city will post unique challenges. I plan to take them head on and share the lessons I learn along the way with my daughter. So she can learn from my mistake and have the greatest head start in life that I can provide her with;.
