Q9550 + Zotac 9300 ITX rev. 3

Finished installing and testing my brand spankin’ new Q9550. The difference in performance (real-world) is somewhat noticeable from my previous Q6600; if you’re as much of a geek as I am (if not worse). As for the price I paid for it which was 14,500 PHP (322 USD), I am content and have no regrets. I bought my Q6600 2 years ago for 12,000 PHP (266 USD) and I was still able to sell it for 5,000 PHP (111 USD). All in all I think and feel it was a decent upgrade, as for the new Core i3, i5 and i7′s… I’ll still be waiting for about 1 to 2 years before I jump onto them.

Hi, I am planning on installing a q9550 on the Zotac 9300 Mini-ITX Mobo. Can you tell me what CPU cooler you use and what kind of idle and load temps do you get?

Thanks,
Bob

I’m using a Corsair H50 closed loop water cooling unit in a Silverstone SG06 case. Idle temps are around the mid 30′s load template are around the mid 40′s.

I could probably get better temps if I used 2x120mm fans instead of 1
