All it takes is discipline

Discipline

All it takes is discipline

No, I do not go to the gym, and no I do not take steroids nor do I take any body enhancing medication. All I do is workout in my room 4 days a week, run 2-3 times a week in our subdivision, drink whey protein, eat right and drink multi-vitamins. I have a curl bar, 2 dumbbells, a couple of weights and a inclining/declining bench at home which I use to do my workouts. This has been my regimen and equipment for more than 5 years now.

It doesn’t take expensive gym membership or equipment, nor shady supplements you see for sale. All it takes is discipline with your workouts and diet. It gets easier once you get into the habit. Once you’ve turned it into a habit; you’ll notice your body forcing you to do your routines despite your brain telling you to procrastinate… Yes I get that feeling more often than I’d want.

Some things to remember though:

  1. There are no shortcuts nor substitutes  hard-work. You may fool yourself into believing you can get results fast, but in the end you’ll just be cheating yourself or worse damage your body.
  2. Getting fit isn’t a short term endeavor, it’s a lifestyle.
  3. If you’re not having fun in your workouts chances are you won’t get the results you are striving for… unless you cheat that is, which will negate the purpose of working out.
  4. There’s no such thing as no time or no resources, it’s just a matter of priorities.

I hope I inspire you to get into shape and live a more active and healthy lifestyle.
