I registered for the Kenny’s Open ’09 Urbanite Run last Saturday when I was in Trinoma to shop for a new pair of running shoes. Upon accomplishing the entry form I asked Faye (the attending cashier) about the mechanics of having the kit shipped to my place since it was stated in the Urbanite Run Mechanics on Item Number 2-A-D stating:
Participants may also choose to have their race kits delivered at a minimal cost. Delivery address to be indicated in the online registration form.
She then referred me to the attending manager (forgot to ask her name) who in turn informed me that due to the lack of time, they won’t be able to ship the race kits. Which means I’ll have to drag my ass to the Fort on either the 13th or 14th just to get the race kit. I then asked if I could get the kit on the race day and she said that that won’t be possible.
This was really disappointing on my end. Though I do plan to call the race organizers tomorrow and inquire if I can get the race kit on the race day. I really don’t have the time nor money to waste on a trip to the Fort (about 90 minute commute from my place) just to get a race kit on a week/work day.
