Logitech Illuminated Keyboard review

By far the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard has been the best illuminated keyboard I’ve used. I have tried several other keyboards such as:

  • Saitek Eclipse 1 & 2
  • Logitech G15
  • Razer Lycosa
  • Generic illuminated keyboards

I found it hard to fault this product after using it for several weeks, the only negatie or should I say constructive criticism I could think of is that they could’ve bundled it with better software. Other than that I can only think of good things about it:

  • The letter’s font face and size is just enough to be readable for people with poor eyesight (which is very important to me) and still look stylish.
  • The keys are visible even without the back lights, unlike on other keyboards where the letters seemed to be opaque.
  • Each key is lit with a white LED which really pops out and is easy on the eyes.
  • The overall build is sturdy and stylish. It provides you with the necessary multimedia keys and doesn’t crowed the keyboard with other keys you rarely use.
  • It’s reasonably priced at 3,500 (70USD) if you compare it to its competitors.
  • The tactile feedback is superb and the sounds of the keys when pressed is similar to typing on a quality laptop keyboard.

It doesn’t do anything innovative but what it does is improve on the basic features of a keyboard that are commonly overlooked by manufacturers. It’s been a while since I’ve been pleased with a product I’ve purchased, and this product reminded me what it felt lie. Iit was really worth the bread.
