Most of my peers like the idea of being slim and fit; Though they always come up with various reasons on why they can’t put in the work. I often here the lack of time or no venue to workout, which is a valid reason for most of us working class folk who hold day jobs and live in the city. That doesn’t mean to say that there is no alternative!
I always encourage people who ask me about fitness to acquire their own equipment. It is not only a good investment but convenient as well. A good piece of equipment for example are Ellipticals. They can give you a good cardiovascular and overall body workout without putting much stress on joints. This is especially useful for people like me who live in the where there aren’t accessible venues to do cardiovascular workouts.
Here are a few reasons why I suggest cross trainers (also known as ellipticals) like treadmils, stationary bikes, and stair climbers to my peers:
- The intensity level and impact on the body of the workouts can be gradually adjusted to fit and fitness level of the person using the it.
- The convenience of working-out at any time you wish in the comfort of your personal space.
- The ability to track your progress through the gauges on the machines (e.g. time, distance, heart rate and calorie count, cadence)
