I wanna box

I’ve been pondering for the past couple of weeks on whether or not I should take up boxing. Since the thought entered my mind I’ve been asking myself:

How much do yo want it!?

I don’t wanna start something and not finish it. So I decided to beef up my training and see if my body and mind can handle it. For the past week I’ve been running an average of 8km in the afternoon and doing my weight training at night, after I’ve finished working. Normally I alternate between running and weight training, since I wanted to push myself a bit more I’m doing them both 5 times a week and I added 1 set to each of my routines.

I’ll do this for a month and see if I can see it through, and maybe start reading up on the basics of boxing. And at the end of my trial, if I’m still as enthusiastic about boxing then I’ll enroll myself into a gym and formally learn how to box. There’s a boxing gym in the immediate vicinity of my subdivision, and it only costs 200 pesos (4 USD) per session which last an hour… A reasonable price and is well within my budget, since I only plan to train about once or twice a week.

My goal is not to fight, since I’ll be at a major disadvantage if I do due to my poor eyesight. Rather just to release my aggression and work on my cardio and core strength, as well as my hand eye and feet coordination.
